Today I ran a mile on the treadmill.
Which isn't the track but it was the treadmill anyway.
I did this machine . . . I wrote about it on another post. The name (or company?) is Cybex. Scary. Scary good.
I also did this ball to the wall thing (the ball was heavier than I thought it would be) and stretched in an attempt to make myself more flexible.

Today I ran doing this stop/start exercise . . . don't know if I liked it too much. Then I kept running. Then I rowed.

Today I did an intense workout with Kaitlin.
It involved weights, jumping, and lots of pushups.
I was exhausted.

Today I:
Technically ran a full mile on the treadmill without stopping, but does that really count? It's harder when you're running around a track, I'm sure, which is what I intend to do.
Rowed ( I like rowing. It hurts your arms but you're not sweating like crazy. Good towards end of workout so I don't arrive at my next class glazed in sweat. Yep.)
Stretched / push-ups etc.
Did "dips" / pulled weights, I pulled like 40 lbs. and I like this, I think I will do it again.
Ate normally today, sort of, pretty much. Well maybe not breakfast, but I can always try again tomorrow.

OCE : Healthy Choices
Today I was at Umphrey Lee and decided to eat from their vegan section, so I tried a 120 calorie "stacked enchilada", which was a corn tortilla with vegetables in it (including tomato, zucchini, and squash.) It was alright, I also ate steamed broccoli and more vegetables. Honestly I expected it to be horrible (because it's Umphrey Lee, and they often disappoint) but it wasn't. =)

Workout:
I ran upstairs on the track and almost ran the entire mile without stopping. I also stretched, did push-ups, used the rowing machine, and the elliptical. My problem continues to be that I don't want to do any one thing for any stretch of time. We should all play soccer together.
Dumbell Rep. 10 lbs.  each arm 10 times.
Out of class Experience: Yoga
I don't really like yoga. I never know if I'm doing it correctly. And it's very quiet and kind of awkward. I need to run. Like in soccer.

Today's Workout:
Treadmill
Tabata Sprints: 10 incline, 5.7 speed ( I liked this. . . not that it was easy.)
Elliptical
Rowing
I was going to do Tabata push-ups / sit-ups but I couldn't do more than like 13 push-ups. So I just did sit-ups after that not counting.
Made it to my next class with 5 minutes to spare. Victory.
By the way the machine that I did Monday is called an Arc Trainer. That is difficult. But will do again. Also next time I would like to run on the upstairs track- cause aha I still don't like working out in front of people. Wish we could all just play some soccer together.

Hey!
So today we tested our limits for sqatting with a 45lb bar on your back and pull ups. I could only do the 45lb bar, and didn't enjoy it very much- I don't like leaning backwards as you go down. For the assisted pull ups I did "25lb rep" I think was what Ms. Starrett called it. I also worked on this rowing machine for the first time which I liked and walked on an incline on the treadmill.

Spring 2013 Semester Fitness Blog

Hi!
This blog is going to be used for my PRW II: Individual Fitness course that I'm taking this semester. We just had our first class on Friday to talk about the syllabus and we mentioned what we each want to get out of this course. I just want to be HEALTHY and feel FIT. There have been periods in my life when I was athletic and it feels great. I want to go back to that. So I'm excited ^^
